Book review – The food lover’s guide to Europe

The food lovers guide to Europe is the perfect combination of food and travel around Europe. Food across Europe is incredibly diverse and this book celebrates the food culture of over 40 destinations in 25 countries. For each destination there is information on regional specialities and the markets and shops to inspire your travels. There are also recommendations for restaurants to eat in (for all budgets) and 3 things not to be missed (such as food markets, festivals and food/drink related tours). For each of the 25 countries there are 1 or 2 recipes that are typical of the country for the reader to try at home. Destinations covered include San Sebastian, Andalucia, Paris, Lyon, Tuscany, Rome, Brussels, Vienna, Istanbul, London and Cornwall to name just a small handful. It’s packed full of wonderful photos of the destinations and the food.

I wouldn’t recommend this as a recipe book but for lovers of food, planning to travel in Europe this is a great book for getting a brief summary of the food in each destination.
